Amazing place, every corner of the house is decorated with creativity. Every piece of furniture can tell a story and you can spend hours exploring the rooms. The breakfast room is exceptional and the breakfast itself is delicious with all you wish,including home made jams and a funny old waffle maker. Don't expect barista coffee, though. The restaurant serves excellent french inspired food in a more than lovely setting, again with lots of surprising stuff to look at. The ceiling is marvellous. Quite pricy, but worth the experience. The owners are exceptional - it would be super nice to be able "to book" them for an hour to hear their story and ask questions. So if you look for something special in the middle of nowhere, this is the place to go.

Tips for other travellers

If you have special needs, you should tell them when booking,so you can get a room that matches your needs, like dark curtains or a proper shower, not just a bathtub with a curtain (difficult for older guests). You need a car no matter what. Ribe, Danmarks oldest city,is a 25 min drive away - a real must see. The "wadden sea" museum is simply beautiful and you can book tours to the coast with guides. You reach the huge beaches of the North Sea in 50-60 minutes. Wonderful in most weather.
