I was made very welcome on my arrival (which was earlier than anticipated). The room was large and spacious and the furnishings were tasteful and stylish. The bed was super comfy The bathroom was large and modern. I can recommend the rhubarb and ginger compote with either the porridge or yogurt. Homemade.

I was on a rest day whilst doing the St Cuthberts way so didn't do any local walks. I wondered through the town and visited a number of the shops. Everyone was friendly and chatty. The cafe at the distillery is worth a visit. The Milan is a great Italian for evening meal.

We visited Ad Gefrin for a Brewery museum and meal tour which was very good, the food was delicious. At £10 for the museum only we felt this wasn't worth the money but the building is beautiful. Wooler high street is a little quirky and look at the war memorial behind the B&B. We drove to Yeavering Bell , we had a lovely walk up the steep hill and back down the easier route.

Some decent restaurants and pubs in town. Lots of places ideal for walking, climbing and cycling around Wooler. Alnwick and Berwick - both historic, interesting and worth visiting!
