I stayed at Raja Beach Hotel for eight nights. It is a wonderful, peaceful place that is great for relaxation. The hotel is surrounded by a charming garden with many large palm trees and other plants. The beach and the sea can be reached directly through the garden. The beach is very uncrowded, clean and spacious. The sea is fantastic for swimming. I booked three meals and was amazed by the chef's skills. Every meal was very delicious. The togetherness is very informal. I felt like at home among friends. I will be back and I 100% recommend Raja Beach Hotel.

Overall, the service was good and the staff very helpful, kind and caring. We could ask and learn a lot about Sri Lankan culture thanks to them, and it sometimes felt like being part of their family. We could have daily baths in the ocean and enjoy farniente in the small but lovely property. The location is maybe a little noisy because of the proximity of the ocean and its continuous waves. We were assigned a room at the first floor, and the heat may be tough to endure indoors, although showers and fans were always available to relieve us, though partly, from it. However, the multiple trees of the garden were offering us a welcoming, soothing shade. Food was good and fresh, coconuts freshly picked from the hotel's garden :-) The owner also helped us through the Sri Lankan Covid regulations thoroughly and has been an angel to us. His care and support relieved us from a lot of stress and hassle, and for that reason, we recommend this place, particularly for quarantine after arrival in the country.

- great stay - the food was good - the garden was beautiful - the beach was perfect - very few people, some local fishermen and barely any tourists - peaceful & no noise - dogs, cats & monkeys - nice owners & staff, very helpful - minor cosmetic issues around the room - overall totally recommend if you are looking for a quiet stay on a peaceful beach in the nature
