Buttermere Cottage was an amazing find. The cottage was spotless and had so many thoughtful touches. It really felt home from home. The place was tastefully decorated with a modern theme. The hosts were so friendly and had great communication before and during trip if required. This cottage definately is a 5 star and we highly recommend it.

Tips for other travellers

Lots of lovely places not far from the cottage. Cullen, Portsoy - great ice cream. Fyfe Castle and Walled garden in July just beautiful . Cafe in castle. Gardenstown - bumble and brae cafe.

Marvelous location! Centrally located, so we were able to go to the sea shore and into the highlands. Beautiful area and space. The hosts were terrific! Friendly, kind, and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Tips for other travellers

Our favorites were the Cooperage, the town of Cullen, cruising through the area on back roads, and eating locally. Very relaxing. Everyone is so friendly.
