A fabulous bnb! Patsy was an amazing host, so friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and very comfortable with lots of thoughtful additions. It was so nice too to have the large and comfortable guest lounge to relax in at the end of the day. Patsy also made us a delicious supper one night of potato and leek soup and toastie.

Tips for other travellers

We had dinner out on two nights - the local Strathy Inn and a bit further afield at the Halladale bistro. Both very acceptable. The surrounding areas are nice to visit. We enjoyed the Castle of Mey and coastal scenery at Dunnet Head. We also did a nice walk to the ruins of Castle Varrich from the village of Tongue. Beautiful views from the top, if a bit of a steep climb in places.

Patsy und ihr Gatte waren vom ersten Moment an sehr gastfreundlich.- Es wurden zur Begrüßung Tee und Gebäck aufgetischt und auch das Wohnzimmer wurde, zusätzlich zum Zimmer, als Aufenthaltsraum angeboten. Im Gästezimmer fehlte es an nichts. Für kältere Tage waren auch Heizdecken vorhanden, welchen wir sogar nutzten. Die Gastgeber waren sehr um uns bemüht. So startete der Tag mit einem liebevollen, frisch zubereitetem Frühstück nach unserer Wahl. Patsy war sogleich zur Stelle, uns Tipps bezüglich unserer Ausflüge zu geben. An Vorschlägen und Informationen für Unternehmungen mangelte es nicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder, Corinna & Herbert

Tips for other travellers

Schöne naturbelassene Sandstrände (war zu kalt, um zu baden!). Museum in Betty Hill (interessante Informationen zu Clearances usw.) Spaziergang zum Leuchtturm (bei starkem Wind jedoch nicht empfehlenswert). Empfehlenswertes Restaurant: Halladale Inn/ Melvich/ Thurso Verhältnis Preis-Leistung passt!

Everything was excellent, topped by Patsy's hospitality, good humour and delicious breakfasts! Definitely a place to stay and enjoy.
