It is a very nice area and Jo was a lovely host she was very welcoming and friendly, me and my partner would definitely recommend Westbury House for a place to stay in Windermere.

Tips for other travellers
There is a lovely fish and chip shop just around the corner from the B&B so within walking distance it’s called The Little Chippy me and my partner were very pleased with the fish and chips from there. There is also a pub/restaurant called The Village Inn for an evening meal which is only a couple of minutes by bus or 20 minutes walk from the B&B but the food was amazing and delicious. Activities in the area we would definitely recommend is a cruise on the lake we went from Bowness-on-Windermere to Lakeside and once we got there we found another activity to do which was the steam railway we both really enjoyed that it takes you all the way to Haverthwaite where you can get off and have a bite to eat at the cafe or have a look in the gift shop before returning back to Lakeside.
