Very nice house and garden right onto the pool idea for 2 of my sons who are keen anglers. Idea for 6 adults. Nice jacuzzi looking over the pool. We also used the bbq. My wife and i used the downstairs room with ensuite wetroom suitable for those with disabilities. Only minor issues were perhaps need for a mirror in the bedroom and some bathroom shelving.

Plenty of pubs and takeaways in Fairford which is a lovely village. Nice walk around the pools directly next to the house or if you exit o the main road and go through the gate 40 yards down the road.

Willow lodge is the best family fishing holiday you will ever go on! The house is immaculately presented and houses huge, spacious rooms, ample facilities and beautiful clean gardens down to the lake. The kids were constantly entertained with hot tubs, pool tables, huge TV, arcade games, garden games, playground and more. It is everything you will ever need and we could have stayed forever. The fishing is amazing and ranged from short distance, to surface fishing to snag fishing. The carp are proper scrappers and in good condition. We ended with over 50 bites in 3 nights and we regularly reeled in to go and do things locally or sleep! The kids were constantly getting bites on the whip/float with perch and silvers too! Plenty of space for the dogs and the site is very secure. I could go on, but my opening line is testament to the incredible work of the owners, what a truly remarkable place. Thank you.

If you do want to leave the house there’s loads to do locally. The water park at Cirencester has days of activities. If you fancy slower paced then Burford and bourton on the water are picturesque. Fishing related bring plenty of bait!! Boilie pellet and corn were fine all loaded with liquids. Pink plastics or pop ups as the crayfish did cause some minor issues but not much at all. The owners will put you on to locations but we spread out the rods rather than multiple lines on spots. We found by doing this we caught off each spot as the fish moved round a lot.

House was 10/10 had everything you could possibly want or need and was very well kept. Fishing was hard, had to work hard for the bites but we knew with it being in between spawning it wasn’t going to be easy. Biggest tip I could give other travellers is that the fishing is for experienced anglers. It isn’t a bite a chuck like some places but the fish are worth the wait when you do get on them. Not really a kid friendly lake as mine got quite bored of not catching quickly but again time of year didn’t help us.

Location is perfect and we will definitely be back next year to make the most of the surrounding areas more. Not far from Clarksons Farm and The Farmers Dog. Fantastic Indian takeaway nearby aswell as other stunning pubs and restaurants.

Everything we needed was at the property so apart from a quick trip out to the local village which was very quaint and offered several shops and a chemist we didn’t go anywhere.
