We highly recommend a stay in this lovely old house, and our hosts could not have been more helpful. It is a beautiful spot and the dining room has a wonderful view down the Wye. If you are thinking of visiting, don't hesitate to book. They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, you can even use crockery, cutlery and glassware if you fancy a takeaway one night, as we did.

We had a very good meal at Foyles, which is a few minutes' walk away. Another highlight was a walk up Hay Bluff from the Stone Circle car park. We took the much longer route which was not so steep, off to the left. This joined Offa Dyke's path for a stretch. We came down a more direct route (left of the way marker) which was quite steep and very hard on the knees!

Had a nice dinner at The Harp Inn which is a short walk from the guesthouse. Nearest electric charging station is ten minutes away at Talgarth car park and if you go there just before 4pm any day you will see the local, retired butcher feeding a large flock of Red Kites that circle over his house right next to the charging station. Talgarth Mill is also just around the corner from there.
