A magical place to stay for peace and solitude with all the home comforts for total relaxation. Surrounded by birdsong, stunning scenery and a variety of wonderful walks, it truly is a place to savour.

Boat trip from Elgol to Loch Coruisk a must do especially on a sunny day. Enjoyable coffee and cake at the Coffee Bothy near Broadford.

Stonechat Bothy is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and with everything you could possibly need readily available. The owners are remarkably responsive while not disturbing your stay in any way. I would happily stay here again and I will check availability for my next trip to Skye. Highly recommended.

We loved our time at the Bothy. It has a beautiful atmosphere to it, which was very relaxing and comforting. All of the details are also lovely - guide books, local interest books, local pottery, the beautiful and efficient wood stove, the fire starters, the jam and nice coffee, the heated drying rack, bothy soap …… thanks very much for the memories!

The bothy is spacious, very comfortable, well equipped and so utterly peaceful. We absolutely loved our time there and hope to return next time on Skye. We only stayed for 4 nights and would stay longer next time if we could. Laura and Phil are very helpful, making sure you know they are there for you if you need them. I also must say I feel Stonechat is very reasonably priced. I spent hours looking for accommodation on Skye and was thrilled to find Stonechat via Hidden Scotland.

The Sleat Peninsula is worth exploring. Boat trip from Elgol - we saw Bottlenose dolphins, seals, shags, arctic terns and the Cuillins are stunning as is Loch Coruisk. Go eat langoustines at Eilean Iarmain, visit Armadale Garden. Up west, Coral Beach and a swim in the aquamarine water was a favourite outing. There is almost too much to do in Skye so make sure to take time to linger at Stonechat and just be, listen to the birds, take in the wild flowers and the peace.
