Meets all my requirements as someone with complex needs. All rooms are clean and well decorated, the kitchen is n very well equipped, the main bathroom is large and very easily managed in a wheelchair.Pleasant surroundings. Only need,- a new over bed table!

Tips for other travellers

There are several places for food in Riccall. We have been several times to Il Burro Italian in the windmill. They have a ramp , but reaching to it the path is rather steep. Breezy Knees gardens are amazing and very accessible for a wheelchair, as are Burnby Hall Gardens, both worth a visit.Both have good places to eat and feeding the carp is the lake is quite an experience! If you military planes then visit the Yorkshire Air Museum. In Escrick

Peggy and Rod are always available to help with anything you need to make your stay home from home. The cottages are all spacious and well equipped for able bodied/disabled/wheelchair users.

Tips for other travellers

South Newlands is a great base for site seeing in Yorkshire. 15 minutes from York and not too far away from the East coast for a day trip to Scarborough, Whitby or Bridlington. There’s also The Deep and the Humber Bridge which are worth visiting. Flamingo Park, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Harrogate and Knaresborough. The list is endless.

Has all aids for people who require mobility equipment. Lovely accommodation in a really nice location & well looked after. Lovely cake on arrival too!!

Peggy and Rod are so helpful, the cake and milk were lovely. Thank you. All my requirements were met. I’d spent ages trying to find accessible accommodation. The cottage’s are perfect. Thank you for a lovely break away. We will be back next year xx

Tips for other travellers

We stayed at crown cottage, all of the equipment I needed Peggy and Rod had ready in the cottage. So accessible. The surroundings are beautiful, so much room for kids. The patio was lovely sitting out on with family. We say squirrels and rabbits running around. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Lots of recommendations of where to go for days out or meals. Definitely will be coming back.
