The four waterfalls walk recommended by the host was a lovely mornings adventure. The red kite feeding station is a sight to behold, check the timings of the feed! The restaurant, again recommended by the hosts, the Royal Oak is a lovely village pub. During our stay many pubs were closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

A great place to stay. Ideally location for serious walkers or just strollers. Beautiful setting on the canal. Great hosts. Breakfast sets you up for the day.

The Royal Oak in Pencelli serves great food and is a proper pub. Two minute drive down the road or a 30 minute walk along the canal towpath. Also, there is a great little cafe in Talybony-on-Usk, which is just a litte farther on.

Very helpful and obliging hosts. The room I’m the eaves was warm and inviting with lovely views. The water in the bathroom was lovely and hot, I appreciate that. Thank you for sorting my tyres out Sid - I didn’t remember until I noticed no warning light. Stayed for a wedding in Tall John’s house. So close and recommending Keith’s taxis was great. Lovely guy and so punctual and again helpful. The only negative was the flex on the hairdryer was not long enough to be able to do my hair in front of the mirror.
