We recently had a 3 night stay, which is in a lovely location and parking was brilliant, we were greeted on arrival and shown to our room by Pete. From start to finish we were made welcome by Pete and Maneeta. The room was beautiful with lovely extra touches, a glass next to the bed for a glass of water throughout the night, cork/bottle opener and wine glasses m, loads of beverages, posh biscuits and a chocolates. It was very clean throughout the house and well maintained. The breakfast every morning was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection and set you up for the day, we will definitely be returning many more times in the near future. Thanks for looking after us so well, Phil and katie

We love the Fleece pub overlooking the harbour with a lovely outside area where the people are friendly and you can get a nice home made sandwich and packet of crisps to tide you over.

I really enjoyed my stay! The room was lovely. I felt like I was being looked after, especially compared with the impersonal experience of a hotel. Thank you so much! I can't think of anything you could do differently that would have made my stay better.

Dining: Cosa Nostra has good food and a great atmosphere; Moon & Sixpence had run out of all desserts when I ate there which would be unforgivable but for their cocktail menu; Estbek House in Sandsend is (casual) fine dining and therefore expensive but is wonderful. Drinks: The Green Dragon (Grape Lane); Beer O'Clock (Flowergate); the Quirky Den (grape Lane) is a nice little pub but the barman was a knob. Moon & Sixpence for cocktails. 20-minute boat ride: the Bark Endeavour (my sister tested them all ahead of her wedding, she says this is the best) Museums: Whitby Museum is so rammed full of history you don't know where to look, it's great; the Captain Cook museum is really interesting (but not suitable for anyone with mobility issues); the little RNLI museum is good. Other: Crabbing off the harbourside - it's much more fun having a go than watching others. The lobster hatchery/aquarium is small but worth a visit. The National Centre of Birds of Prey at Helmsley is great, the best flying displays I've seen.
