So easy to access town centre, lots of different restaurants to suit all tastes, lovely wander round town and McCraigs tower . So easy to get ferry to Isle of Mull but I suggest to Pre book tickets .

We had a very enjoyable two nights at Hawthorne Bank in a sea view room which was very clean and comfortable with beautiful antique furniture and crisp white bed linen. Ian and Jem made us very welcome and served a delicious and substantial breakfast. It is only a short walk to the harbour and the town centre .We have no hesitation in recommending it.

If possible book your evening meals well in advance of your stay -which we did - particularly during the peak season. We ate in Coast an excellent seafood restaurant, and the Piazza, a very good Italian pizza and pasta restaurant located on the dockside. Both are within five minutes walk from Hawthorne Bank.
