We went down for a little mon _ fri break We visited a lovely family/dog friendly pub called Henry worth visiting

We had such an amazing stay and honestly didn’t want to leave. Ian and Julia were absolutely wonderful hosts — so welcoming after a really long day of travelling, and incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They really made it feel like a home from home. The room was immaculately clean and beautifully kept tidy each day when we returned, which we really appreciated. The location was also perfect — close to the station, the beach, and all the lovely shops and restaurants, so everything was easy to get to. We can’t thank Ian and Julia enough for making our holiday so special, and we would highly recommend staying here to anyone. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the different fishing villages along the coast — you can get to many of them by boat, and the coastline is absolutely stunning. It truly was an unforgettable holiday.

Tips for other travellers

The boat trips from Paignton Harbour were brilliant and a great way to explore the area. Our top traveller tips would be to head down to the harbour and have a drink at the Harbour Lights pub, and definitely try the amazing pizzas at the Shoreline restaurant on the beach — they have a proper pizza oven and the food was fantastic. Paignton is also brilliant for families, with lots of lovely parks for children to enjoy. If you’re travelling with kids, the parks are fantastic.

Julia and Iain make you feel welcome from the second you arrive . Nothing is to much trouble for them . Clean , comfy rooms and eggsalent breakfast. Knowledgeable on things to do and places to eat . 10 min walk to both train and bus station The saying ‘ arrive as strangers , leave as friends ‘ certainly applies to blue waters .

Tips for other travellers

Paignton zoo is having a lot of work done , but still worth a visit . Babbacombe model village and babbacombe cliff railway down to oddocombe beach is worth doing too

Lovely stay as usual. Always stay here when we're in Paignton. Julia and iain are always a delight to be with and we always have a lovely time. Can't wait to come back again in June

Trains are our thing and we advise anybody to ride the coastal service to Exeter. Great scenery.
