Anns Cottage and The Old Smithy

Our Home Away From Home: After coming here for around 10 years, Ann’s Cottage has genuinely become our favorite getaway. Each time we arrive, the welcome from Ann and Colin is so warm and good that it truly feels like coming home—a feeling that simply cannot be beaten. The cottage itself is always spotlessly clean and incredibly well-equipped; everything you could possibly need for a great stay is provided. The bed is super comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Ann goes above and beyond with little touches, even offering a thoughtful "turn down" service, including a little chocolate treat on the pillow, if she knows you are out for the evening. Although it wasn't particularly cold during our visit, we had one chilly night where the wonderful log burner came into its own, making the whole cottage nice and snug for a quiet night in. Before each busy day, the breakfast is just perfect and sets you up brilliantly for a full day of activity. Ann's is perfectly situated for exploring the immediate area, but we also found that going further afield was very easy to do. As usual, we made sure to pop in for a quick chat with Ann and Colin in their kitchen before we left. It goes without saying, we loved our stay so much that we immediately booked our next visit. We highly recommend Ann’s Cottage!

Ann and Colin, make your holiday. Nothing is to much trouble. From breakfast, which is lovely, to bedtime. Everything just seems to flow, at a leisurely pace. They are the perfect hosts. 🥰 booked again for next year.
