Anns Cottage and The Old Smithy

I first came to Rosedale to meet Ann & Coin with my late wife Ann in the 1990s. In those days there was a property nearby that provided 'treatments' which Ann enjoyed. I returned some years later wit my wife Sandra on 1st January 2010 when we found ourselves marooned in a snow drift but rescued by a local in a Land Rover. We have returned on a number of occasions. Why? Whether it is in the Cottage or the Smithy we are cared for; it is peaceful and we are in the midst of the glorious North York Moors and the North Sea Coast. We are cared forand treated as friends. Age is catching up with us but hopefully 2027 may see a return in the Spring.

This our favourite relaxing hideaway. The accommodation is beautiful plenty of space to relax & equipped with everything you could possibly need. Ann & Colin are a delight nothing is too much trouble. Ann even washed my brother’s cream trousers when he spilled coffee on them! The breakfasts are outstanding & the choice is huge. We love our getaways here amongst the peace & quiet of the countryside. Thanks once again.

You are assured of a very warm welcome and hosts, Ann and Colin, who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a memorable and enjoyable one. The two cottages are exceptionally comfortable and clean and Ann's breakfasts are legendary.

Ann's Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. With a warm welcome from Ann and Colin, fabulous views from the windows and personal breakfast service, nothing is too much trouble. We love the peace and quiet and look forward to each return with great pleasure.
