We absolutely loved our stay at the shepherds hut! The location was perfection, near the farmhouse and with views of the fields and hills for miles. It was a lovely secluded spot with a shower block and kitchen facilities close by. We enjoyed wood fired pizza and homemade burgers on site on Friday night, with great wine and beers on offer too. Ruth and Mike were super friendly and lovely to chat too. We would definitely recommend a stay at the huts!

Tips for other travellers

We didn't use the hot tub but we will next time as it's such a gorgeous spot to sit in the tub and look at the views. Also so much nicer that the usual hot tubs with lots of chemicals as it's just water heated up with the attached log burner. We ate at the White Horse Inn in Kings Meaburn and the food was absolutely fabulous! You need to drive (about 10-15 mins) but it's definitely worth a trip. There are lots of walks literally on the doorstep and the pretty villages of Crosby Ravensworth and Kings Meaburn within easy walking distance.
