I wish there was better access to public transport to Guildford. And the no access rule could be removed if possible in the future. But apart from that, it is an amazing place to stay and had a wonderful experience with all the warden during my stay. I would definitely stay here again and maybe bring my friends over too. I am also thinking about being a warden and volunteer at the barn.

Amazing place for cyclists and walkers but if you are planning to use public transporr, prepare to walk about 15mins with slight uphill. For getting to the barn from guildford, you have to take Bus 65 and get down at hog's back cafe or picnic area stop which is immediately after the Greyfrair's house stop. And start walking through the cafe and into the woods downhill until to get to the school and take left once are at the trisection and walk for another 5mins to reach the barn on your left. Don't forget to try the Good intent pub and visit the Watt's gallery and the Puttenham viewpoint.

The location and facilities were ideal for my stopover and I felt so fortunate to have found the bunkhouse and I was made to feel very welcome, I had everything I needed and I was very comfortable. Lovely little garden too.

This was an excellent place to stay on a long distance walking or cycling route, such as the North Downs or Fox Way. A step above camping for those travelling lighter. The Good Intent is good local pub and Puttenham Heath had remarkable red sand and views. Take the main road under the A31 here to cross the Hogs Back to arrive in or leave.

You do need a segregated room at the end for those who, need more privacy. For family's ? Well possibly but they are not really in your normal customer range, yet !

You don't need me to suggest them as I haven't learnt them yet. The Watts Chapel etc is a local must.

Great welcome from Colin, one of the volunteers. Lovely environmentalist ethos. Set in a pretty little village.

Perfect for walkers on The Pilgrims' Way or The North Downs Way. The pub, The Good Intent, is a must!
