The Moray Park is a traditional, welcoming and comfortable guest house lovingly tended to by Dorina and Stuart. It is located over the road from the gorgeous Ness river and an iron footbridge, easy to walk either side of river in to town. Our room 8 was spotless, great bed, plenty of storage and space to move about,(great for those with access needs). Teas/coffee, fresh water and the essential biscuits provided in the room. Dorina is a professional yet friendly, non intrusive, proprietor who takes great care of her guests. Five or so cooked delicious (we tried most) breakfast options were available, plus cereals, yoghurts and a super bowel of fruit and berries. Our time at breakfast was respected, starting the day off with a happy vibe.

Tips for other travellers

See the wild dolphins from the Black Isle sea shore ... (need a car ... we also payed for the Dolphin Spirit two hour trip which was well organised and fun experience). Bag pipe band play and march, with Highland dancers, in the City centre a couple of times a week; charity collection box. Take a stroll along the Ness Islands and have tea and cake at the botanic gardens. Really enjoyed the Highland Nights music/dance/food/history evening in the City. Walk along the Ness banks and canal out of the City. Make use of the newish coach service from Inverness to places such as Ullapool (very beautiful). Inverness City Victorian market open til 8 pm I think has several tasty eateries which are a great alternative if you prefer less formal. Recommend the restaurant 'Encore Une Fois', for a delicious Balmoral Chicken plus friendly bar atmosphere and music (dogs allowed!)

join the atmosphere in this lovely guest house .. fits perfect, very scottish - the bar - the bar keeper is brilliant
