Everything was perfect except one small detail and that was when we asked for our room to be serviced our towels weren’t exchanged. I must add that this did not spoil our stay at all, and when we next visit Ambleside you will be our first choice. We loved our visit and the weather was perfect.

We did a lovely walk from Ambleside to Grasmere via Rydal Water and caught the bus back. Take a slight diversion to Rydal Caves if you haven't been before.
