A lovely couple of days staying in a vineyard in France with wine tasting. The accommodation was perfect for exploring the area.

Saint Emilion is only around a 15 minute drive away and definitely worth a visit.

Steve & Rob were the perfect hosts,with a warm welcome and advice on any local events, restaurants, shops etc. Their wine is superb and the wine tour was the most informative we have ever had. We will definitely be returning and can easily recommend Clos Vieux Rochers to anyone.

Tips for other travellers

The March Nocturne's are definitely worth a visit as are Bordeaux, Bergerac and a stroll round St Emillion. Le Clos Mirande is an excellent restaurant

We stayed for two weeks and were very happy with our time at Clos Vieux Rochers. No complaints, or negatives of any sort. Steve & Rob were excellent Hosts / owners and made us feel welcome and able to advise us on the area during our stay. We enjoyed a thoughtful, welcome pack of essentials on our arrival at our Gite which was very welcome after a long drive. No hesitation in recommending Clos Vieux Rochers as excellent accommodation in South West France.

Tips for other travellers

Bessin de Lumiers in Bordeaux we enjoyed immensely and would recommend visiting. St. Emilion nearby too, Lac Gueron for a lovely walk. Lun des Sens Restaurant at La Trance near to Lac serves amazing food. Enjoyed the Winery Tour and tasting at Clos Vieux Rochers. The huge Market at St. Foy le Grande every Saturday morning.
