I have recently stayed here for the second time, the first being three years ago. I received a warm welcome from John. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious. John is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Tips for other travellers

The guest house is well placed for travelling around this area of Scotland. The best place to eat is The Loft which is walkable from the guest but it doesn’t open on Monday or Tuesday. However, there is a good choice of places to eat in Pitlochry which is only a few miles away.

A lovely warm welcome a waited us on arrival. Our room as always beautifully furnished. Breakfast was first class. It’s a great location for visiting the Highlands. We most certainly will be back on future trips to Scotland.

Everything was excellent, comfortable bed, friendly and accommodating host and excellent breakfast Our only issue was the curtains could do with being blackout because of daylight coming through very early in the morning so we found it difficult to sleep after this

Thank you for your review. Did you pull down the blackout blind as well as close the curtains in the room? I have just checked the room in the middle of the day and both the blind and the curtain make it very dark, certainly dark enough not to keep someone awake (imho). John ist der geborene Gastgeber: freundlich, witzig, hilfreich. Das Haus und Zimmer sind liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet. Der Garten einladend mit vielen Vögeln und Blumen. In unmittelbarer Nähe 1 Spar und 2 Restaurants
