Tips for other travellers
You are in a good location for getting to the Kelvingrove park, art gallery and easy reach for both Partick and the city centre. There is a train station in Partick which can get you out to the two best locations in Glasgow both Bearsden and Milgavie which is where the west highland way walk starts. If you go to Glasgow Queen Street station you can n get a day return out to Rannoch station where they have a nice tea room but before you go out there I would check what days the tea room is open. The best bet is probably to Google it.

The receptionist (I wish I could remember his name) was brilliant - funny, helpful, interesting. He really added to our stay. The room was lovely too. And great location for town and restaurants.
