Absolutely loved the chance to meet Helen and Wyatt at their most beautiful estate. Incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout our 5 night stay. Our two bedroom, parlour, kitchen and bath were perfectly appointed overlooking a private garden. The facilities are impressive and well maintained.

For travellers: Read the well written manual to understand how light switches, the kettle, and stove top work. Being Canadian it is a bit different for us and we did have some giggles as we laughed at each other. (This was grand and added to our experience so we were quite happy.) If you do not rent a car and want to go sightseeing beyond Lacock, arrange a taxi in advance. Be kind and thoughtful to the village. There is so much history here but remember people live here! Cannot wait to return. XO Lacock

Wonderful place, beautiful location with lots to do and see. The house is clean, big enough for a family of five and the kitchen is well equipped. Staff is very friendly, helpful and fully committed to keeping their customers happy. They have given good advice about things to do in the area.

Lacock itself is very beautiful and the Abbey is certainly worth a visit. We also went to Oxford, Bath and Castle Combe. For other historical sites e.g. Avebury and of course Stonehenge.

We had a wonderful week starting in the holiday cottage at the Rectory in Lacock. Everything was perfect, the cottage was immaculate, kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable (best nights sleep i've had for a long time) and we had a lovely garden that we were able to sit outside and eat in most evenings, weather dependent of course! Helen and Wyatt are great hosts and the children loved meeting Monty, the Rectory dog. We will definitely be coming back to the Rectory for another peaceful family break.

We visited lots of places during our stay. Of course Lacock Abbey was first in the list followed by a trip to Bradford Upon Avon to do some paddle boarding. Highly recommended for older children and great fun. Stourhead was a great day out too, so peaceful and beautiful. We could not go without a visit to longleat, again great fun for all the family, not too sure about the monkey enclosure though 🤣 We also took a day boat from Hilperton Marina and went up the Avon. This too was great for the children and helped tire them out by getting them to do the locks!! There is so much to do that we will definitely be back soon.
