We had a brilliant stay, the accommodation and facilities were wonderful and made our stay very special. All of our guests were very Impressed and we are already talking about maybe doing a New Year’s Eve break. We would certainly come back and stay at The Dower house again. The pre stay service was really good and Jane was very helpful in answering our endless questions

Sorry we didn’t really leave the house at all as we didn’t need to

Our party of 25 and dog, with ages ranging from 10 to 87, stayed in the Dowerhouse and Home Farm. We had a wonderful time. The houses are clean, well equipped and comfortable. We made constant use of the pool table, the tennis court, and even croquet. Some ventured to the seaside for fish and chips and cold swimming, others stayed and explored the beautiful grounds. Even the weather was kind, allowing us to eat lunch outside on one day.

The house is very well equipped. Plenty of crockery and cutlery for 10 people and kitchen is big enough to cater for that volume of people. Lovely soft towels and nice toiletries in the bathrooms. The open fire was just wonderful and the logs were provided which was an added bonus. The garden is superb. We loved sitting out watching the sunset. Jane’s communication was excellent.

This is a stunning setting. Beautiful views across the Kent countryside. I recommend the Griffins Head close by for Sunday lunch.

Lovely quiet place in the countryside. No shops or amenities nearby but we knew that and had food with us. It is however situated within easy reach of Canterbury and Dover, Deal and Sandwich. Although small the kitchen had everything we needed and a lovely surprise awaited us: a hamper with lots of high-quality products! Everything was very clean and we highly recommend a stay here.

As well as Canterbury, we visited Deal, Sandwich and Whitstable, all seaside towns with their own charm and worth exploring.
