We stayed for two nights over the Easter weekend. Prior to arriving we had an excellent level of communication from Derek, detailing all we needed to know and great directions which meant even arriving in the dark was easy. The cleanliness of the pod was exceptional and when we arrived the heating was already and the pod was cosy. We met Martha and Thomas the next day who were super friendly and even lent us a lighter to start our camp fire. Would have no issue recommending this place to anyone!

Tips for other travellers

Mangersta Beach is stunning. You could watch the waves crashing over the rocks for hours. The sea stacks 2 miles south are worth a look. Ardroil beach is huge. We walked for 10 mins at low tide and still didn't reach the water. Uig community shop is good, with a wide range of food and drink. There are fuel pumps but its worth noting prices are around 10p per litre dearer than Stornoway.

We had the most fabulous stay here. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts, warm hut with very comfy bed. All basic amenities available. Fabulous view from window. Quiet, peaceful location. Poor WiFi and 4G signals inside the hut but this was not an issue for us and in fact we preferred it. Thank you so much!

Be prepared for extreme wind 24/7! Nearby Uig community shop has everything you would need! Fantastic cliff sunset views nearby.
