Tips for other travellers

Buttermere is a lovely easy walk, my Bedlington whippet and Yorkshire terrier enjoy it as it's quite flat and an easy walk.. Derwent water was a long walk but lovely stunning views,plus you can get on the boats halfway if you wanted to. Keswick market on a Thursday is great to have a wonder around if wanted something different to do..

This was our fifth stay at Coldgill as the house and location are perfect for a relaxing break. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, but we still managed to get out to walk the dogs and visit our favourite places.

Tips for other travellers

Cockermouth is only 10 minutes away, and is a lovely town with many facilities. Keswick is about 30 minutes drive, and we always visit on Thursday which is market day.

We had a return visit to Coldgill View. The house is spacious and comfortable.The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the ensuite showers are very good with plenty of hot water. The decking is a lovely place to sit to admire the wonderful view across fields to the fells beyond.

Tips for other travellers

We visited nearby Cockermouth and Keswick which both have great independent shops and cafes. We had a boat ride on Derwentwater. We had a walk at Cogra Moss which is flat and easily accessible from the car park. We enjoyed Muncaster Castleith a flying display from owls to vultures.

I think this is our 7th or 8th visit now. Another lovely stay as usual. A real home from home. Perfect location, stunning views, comfortable home.

Tips for other travellers

We discovered a new pub this vist, the Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite. Friendly, lovely food, big outdoor area. Lots of choice on the menu, with dairy free and gluten free options on the menu. Only 20 minutes away. Our favourite lakes are Buttermere and Ennerdale. There are some great walks from the doorstep too. Harris park in Cockermouth has some nice river walks if you don't want to venture far away.
