Glencoldon Cottage

Loved waking up to a woodland view and having the opportunity to sit on the balcony listening to silence!! Accommodation is perfect, beds comfortable and the cottage has everything you would need. Lovely long walk to local shop and restaurant. Derek, the owner is lovely.

One of the most unforgettable summer vacations we’ve had was at this beautiful place. Even though we stayed for just three nights, it left us with the most wonderful memories. The location, the natural surroundings, and the eco-friendly concepts added immense value to our stay, creating a fantastic atmosphere for us to interact with nature under the beautiful sunshine. A special thank you goes to Mr. Derek, who was incredibly helpful and supportive. His high-class hospitality made our experience even more exceptional. Finally, we absolutely loved our time at Glencoldon Cottage. We wish the best of luck to Mr. Derek and the entire supportive team for their continued success.

A fabulous place in a perfect location for exploring the Cairngorms or simply watching the view change and relaxing. Really appreciate the efforts made to limit the environmental impact along the way.

We just returned from our second stay at Glencoldon and had another fantastic stay. The cottage is so clean and comfortable and the cottage facilities are all top notch. Our three children loved spending time in the wild garden and especially enjoyed looking out for the visiting wildlife. I mentioned in my previous review that our main aim was finding a quiet place for our autistic daughter. Being at the cottage is like medicine for her she just loves the nature and the tranquility, it was so nice as parents to see her so happy and relaxed. If any parent is in a similar position and looking for a quiet holiday I can't recommend the cottage and the area enough. Also Derek the cottage owner could not be more helpful he is a fantastic host.
