We just returned from our second stay at Glencoldon and had another fantastic stay. The cottage is so clean and comfortable and the cottage facilities are all top notch. Our three children loved spending time in the wild garden and especially enjoyed looking out for the visiting wildlife. I mentioned in my previous review that our main aim was finding a quiet place for our autistic daughter. Being at the cottage is like medicine for her she just loves the nature and the tranquility, it was so nice as parents to see her so happy and relaxed. If any parent is in a similar position and looking for a quiet holiday I can't recommend the cottage and the area enough. Also Derek the cottage owner could not be more helpful he is a fantastic host.

Tips for other travellers

The heart of the village is a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage and contains the village shop, Andersons restaurant and a bike hire shop which are all fantastic. There is also a good bus service for non drivers like ourselves which we used to visit places like cairngorm mountain, Inverness and landmark adventure park. There are also so many stunning walks accessible right from the cottage front gate.

A second stay for us and just as good as the first time! Wonderful location and surroundings. Cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything you could need for your stay in Strathspey. We hope to be back again!
