We had a fantastic 3 day stay at Cheristow. Loved the fantastic view across the rolling countryside. Love the cows and Livingstone the bull. As city people it was a lovely change. We recommend this site. It has hard standing and grass pitches. Shelly and Eric were lovely hosts.

Tips for other travellers
The country lanes are very narrow, we had a twin axle caravan and large car, we did get stuck a few times along the lanes. Avoid the village at all costs, it's not suitable for heavy goods vehicles. Lots of nice walking, but a car ride really to see any sites. A great site just to relax on. There are pubs in the village, but a long walk to there.

Lovely to host you. So pleased you liked all the animals, especially Livingstone one of our bulls. Thank you for pointing out the need to avoid the village with large vehicles, as the Sat Nave generally takes you up the smallest road in the Parish. We do ask guests to follow our directions and avoid the village of Hartland with their caravans or motorhomes. The Devon lanes can be challenging if you are not used to them! The village is about 25 to 35 minute walk from here, just enough time to walk off a lovely meal at one of the pubs in the village serving delicious food.

Lovely friendly owners with a site that is perfect to get away from it all, and plenty of piece and quiet. Hartland village is only a short walk away and if you do a loop walk there are stunning views across to Lundy.

The site is very rural and access is via lanes. There are plenty of passing places, but take your time there is no rush!

Thank you for your review. Yes we are remote, and accessed via Devon country lanes, which is part of the charm. The scenery is fantastic and we are lucky to live here.
