Eric and Shelley could not have been more helpful or welcoming. A beautiful, tranquil and well provided CL site and, without doubt, one of , if not the best CL we have stayed at. It was very good value for money.

Loved this site in a quiet field with fantastic views. The family were very welcoming and friendly, facilities were adequate with plenty of hot water and very clean. Electric was extra but low cost so don’t be put off by this as pitch price is less than other sites near by.

Hartland village is a lovely place with welcoming people, pubs, shops which are open late. The farmers market ( first Sunday in the month) was fabulous with lovely fresh produce at reasonable prices. The village is a short 1.5 mile walk through the woods from Higher Cheristow. Hartland quay is definitely worth a visit a more challenging walk from the site past the Abbey, via Stoke village, where we had a tea & cake in the amazing St Nectan’s church.
