Appreciated the clear emails and the information given regarding the Property (Great Coombe),pubs and places to visit. The property was spacious, comfortable and particularly suited for disabled visitors.

Tips for other travellers

The village shop at Buckland Newton was useful and friendly. Thimble Inn an excellent recommendation and the Brace of Pheasants good to drop in for a drink. As we were there for a family celebration and the weather was perfect, we took advantage of the wonderful views from the Patio and our two grandsons, 9 and 12, the Games Room.

Little Coombe: Really enjoyed our stay in the quiet, rural setting of Bookham Court – and would come back again. The house was clean and pleasantly decorated, with comfortable furnishings, good size beds and a compact, well-equipped kitchen. A private, small, enclosed courtyard, accessed via the lounge, included the hot tub which was clean and well maintained. The two separate rental properties, part of the Court complex, were both occupied at the time of our stay without impacting us either with noise or car parking. We enjoyed using the spacious and well-appointed games room facilities many times.

Our top local pub choice was the Thimble, in Piddlehinton. Take out: The Mega Pizza, in Dorchester. Interesting village: Cerne Abbas. Interesting place: Chesil Beach. Informative place: Hardy's Cottage. Best view: Bullbarrow Hill. Best relaxing: Local Hot Tub.
