We recently had a wonderful four days staying at the Carcassonne Townhouse. Rachel and Mark made our stay feel like a personal welcome. The room was comfortably equipped, and survived well in the recent heatwave. Breakfasts were sumptuous and varied each day, we had a little tour of France's best fromages and charcuterie. Importantly, the townhouse is sited midway between La Bastide (the "new" town centre) and the historic Cité that everyone comes to see. Easy walking distance to both, and pleasantly near the river and peace.

The location is perfectly set between the old and new towns. Also within a few minutes walk from the shuttle bus from the airport! Rachel was a friendly and informative host with many suggestions for places to go, things to do to beat the heat too! Would recommend to everyone.

Rachel and Mark are great hosts, and live nearby which is very reassuring in these days of remote Airbnb type remote landlords. The breakfast is lovely, cheese ham fruit yogurt pastries chosen with care. The room we had, which I think was slightly more expensive had a lovely view of the citie from a small balcony, which does give you a nice boost whenever you look out. Location is ideal, ten minutes from town, fifteen minutes from the citie and the station in the opposite direction. Also five minutes from la comptoir de la citie. Go!
