central location means you're not too far from any walks or sites of interest and can pop back for a bit if you need to. Lots of pubs nearby and hosts have great local knowledge, don't be afraid to ask! Close to Bakewell and Tideswell, great location.

Christine and Graham were very welcoming and had good advice about walking in the peaks. We thought they achieved just the right balance between being friendly and informative and “letting us get on with it”.

Be sure to read G and C’s recommendations on local amenities. We particularly enjoyed “The Angler’s Rest” in Millers Dale.

Lovely friendly hosts. Breakfast was very good. Couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely stay again if in Derbyshire in the future.

Merchants yard restaurant in Tideswell was lovely. The anchor pub up the road did very nice food, surprisingly good vegan food.
