Perfection between four walls. There is no service/staff hence self catering.

The cottage at An Dachaigh was first class in every way! It was superbly equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen and well decorated and comfortable throughout the house. Plenty of little extras provided like a picnic bag, beach towels etc. Rachel was extremely helpful prior to arrival with local information on where to eat etc. A very welcoming host!

Tips for other travellers
The cottage is a few minutes walk from a lovely beach at Horgobost, Nisabost is also accessable by foot or car. We used Horgobost for swimming and paddleboarding whilst Nisabost was good for waves and body boarding. Luskentyre beach is about 20mins drive away. They are all STUNNING whatever the weather! Talla na Mara was a few minutes drive away. The cafe was great for coffee and cake and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal there. We mainly shopped at the community store in Leverburgh about 20 mins away. We found it really well stocked with local suppliers as well as mainstream products. It also had a lovely gift shop upstairs! Croft 36 and the cake shed at Luskentyre also offer great opportunities to support local business and are worth a visit! Ferry to North Uist for a day trip is also easily accessible and worth doing. Callanish stading stones is atmosperic trip over the Harris Hills in just under an hour. You can do them, the Brock at Carloway and the blackhouse museum in a day trip. So much to see as well as enjoying the beauty of the scenery we will have to return!
