Very pleasant and helpful hosts. We stayed in the Freight Wagon, a genuine railway van, rather like a shepherd's hut in size and facilities. Surprisingly warm inside, despite the autumnal weather. Very quiet situation and lovely scenery. Very tall people would find the bed a bit short, but for us smaller people it was very comfortable.

Very convenient to Prescott motorsport venue. Good parking space for a trailer. Close to a heritage steam railway. The Old Oak is a lively pub with good food in nearby Gretton. Easy short drive to big shops etc in Cheltenham, and to the horse racecourse.

Lovely peaceful place right in the heart of the countryside. Friendly and welcoming. Room spacious, well equipped and clean.

Can recommend the Royal Oak in Gretton for food - decent selection and not too expensive. Would not eat at the pub in Alderton.
