Mable's Cottage Skye

A wonderful place to relax. The house is fully equipped—not just in the kitchen, but also with everything needed for leisure, such as reading, watching a movie, or simply unwinding in the bath. The weather wasn't great during our stay, but otherwise, you could also enjoy the garden.

Host was always replied promptly to any enquiry & extremely helpful offering advise. Cottage is one of most dog friendly we have every stayed in. Everything provided for your fur family, even throws to allow them on furniture & a doggie welcome pack. Spotlessly clean & beautiful decor throughout. Huge secure garden to exercise your dog. Very good location to explore the Isle. We can not recommend this property enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & were sad to leave, it was so homely & cosy.

Mable's cottage is a lovely old house, everything possible is there for you to use. There is a lot of furniture in the house and we did have to move a few bits upstairs to allow room for our five dog beds in the sitting room. The location is fabulous with a lovely outlook and a great general store in Uig that is like a tardis with all provisions needed. Overall we loved Skye and explored as many places as we had time for in a week, the Quiraing is amazing, also the fairy glen which is just down the lane from the cottage is very interesting and unique. Great little dinosaur museum on the side of the road is well worth stopping for an interesting bit of history. We were booked to go to the cottage in May 2025 but due to sudden health issues we had to cancel at short notice which was so disappointing for us, but Allan and Francis were so kind and held the holiday over for us, we were able to stay in May 2026..a big thank you to you both 😊
