Mable's Cottage Skye

Mable's cottage is a lovely old house, everything possible is there for you to use. There is a lot of furniture in the house and we did have to move a few bits upstairs to allow room for our five dog beds in the sitting room. The location is fabulous with a lovely outlook and a great general store in Uig that is like a tardis with all provisions needed. Overall we loved Skye and explored as many places as we had time for in a week, the Quiraing is amazing, also the fairy glen which is just down the lane from the cottage is very interesting and unique. Great little dinosaur museum on the side of the road is well worth stopping for an interesting bit of history. We were booked to go to the cottage in May 2025 but due to sudden health issues we had to cancel at short notice which was so disappointing for us, but Allan and Francis were so kind and held the holiday over for us, we were able to stay in May 2026..a big thank you to you both 😊

Maison très bien équipée, très accueillante

If you're looking for a 'home from home' while exploring beautiful Skye, Mable's Cottage is for you! Pet friendly and located in a fantastic area, with beautiful views across the hills. Wake up to birds tweeting and lambs bleating and enjoy a coffee in the garden (weather permitting of course). The hosts are brilliant, keeping in touch prior to our stay and making sure we had all the information we needed for a comfortable stay...the wee welcome package was a real treat after the 6 hour drive! Thank you for such a fab stay, will be back again soon.
