My friends stayed at La Esmeralda and recommended it to me and now I would like to do the same. The location was perfect, super close to the beach. We rented a 2/2 and it was so much bigger than I expected. It was so comfortable, clean and quiet. I liked the “living in the neighborhood” feeling vs the resort areas. The location was perfect! It was central to the main sites.

Tips for other travellers

If you like salsa dancing, there’s a great salsa lounge right down the road called La Música. There’s salsa, bachata and bomba lessons right on the beach as well.

Quick service when request made. Easy communication via text or WhatsApp. We absolutely loved our stay! Felt safe with the gate. Close to everything we needed.

Tips for other travellers

Great location, quick Uber ride to San Juan. Close to the beach, truly minutes walking. We liked "Aqui se come bueno" for food, "Barista Mafia", and going down to old San Juan. We also did a great snorkeling tour at Escambron beach which was a worthwhile venture.
