Really great half term stay at Low Costa Mill. The Granary cottage was comfortable and had good sized living space for 5 of us staying. The huge plus of the site however is the outside space which is really undersold on the pictures! I really struggled to find something in the local area with outside space until I saw Low Costa Mill - the space is fantastic with play equipment and field areas for all kids ages, riverside bench and walk, woodland walk, animals and plenty of space to sit and enjoy the quiet! Great to have the swimming pool (good size too) and the booking system for this was appreciated. Owners were friendly and helpful throughout the stay - will return!

The Oak pub in Old Malton was a great find for food with great service, Black Swan in Pickering was a good pub find as well. Dalby Forest is amazing and would recommend a visit, views and walks are stunning, also did Go Apr which was expensive but the views are great

We took our son, daughter-in-law, 2 year old grandson and dog to this beautifully kept place. It was perfect for all of us- dog field, children's play area and swimming pool literally on our doorstep. We especially enjoyed the woodland walk with lots of 'treasures' to find, and the animals. We have already recommended Low Costa Mill to our neighbour! We came back with happy memories, beautiful photographs and will no doubt be returning

The cottage was really well equipped with everything you could need, there is a laundry room onsite, and the owners are really helpful. We recommend Cedar Barn farm shop and Café, with a children's play area, and Graze on the Green at Rosedale Abbey. Both nearby, the food was delicious, and both cater for gluten free and dairy free diets.

We have stayed twice a year for years now at Low Costa Mil, each time has been a joy. There are facilities to suit most people. They also have a lovey kids play area, and swimming pool. I would say this is home from home. The shear beauty of the surroundings is breathe taking and everywhere is so well maintained. 10 out of 10 on all counts from us.

Low costa is a short distance from pickering where there is a bank machine a post office chemist vets dentist supermarkets and bakery s. Also steam trains are sometimes in the station. There is a river and a beautiful church. If you are looking to eat out during the day there are cafes, and a fish shop for the evening. We always used the Onestop Cafe in the bus carpark. Excellent food.
