The rooms are so clean and tastefully decorated, and have welcoming touches such as tea/coffee/hot chocolate and home made flapjacks. The breakfasts are amazing, so tasty and all locally sourced ingredients. The location is perfect for exploring Dartmoor, with several visitor attractions just a few minutes drive away. Highly recommend.

Tips for other travellers

So much to explore on Dartmoor! Bellever woods and beauty spot is very close by, as is Haytor. We travelled to Dartmeet and visited Badgers Holt, where you can cross the river by moving from rock to rock. Extremely popular and beautiful. Just up the road from here we always pop in to Pixieland to buy something for our garden and to walk around the fabulous display of gnomes, pixies and fairies in all shapes and sizes. A really lovely local shop and they have some fabulous souvenirs to take home from Dartmoor. A must do is a visit to Widecombe In The Moor, where you can see a working forge, a lovely shop or two, a beautiful village green with a restaurant/cafe overlooking it. In the churchyard you can find the resting place of author Beatrice Chase.

Very nice owners. Room and bathroom felt new; clean, fresh and modern. We enjoyed our breakfast and friendly service. Great location to explore Dartmoor!

Tips for other travellers

Endless walks or just driving around and make some stops. For some drinks or something to eat go to Granito Lounge in Travistock: wonderful decoration.

What an absolute pleasure to stay at Duchy House, a beautiful historic house in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park. The room was spotless clean and comfortable and the breakfast was simply delicious.

Highly recommend a hike to the numerous tors and historical sites and a Traditional Devonshire Scones and Cream at The Two Bridges Hotel.
