2 local pubs. The prince of Wales serves really good food with good portions. Fox tor cafe is a great cafe to rest and refuel after a walk on the moors.A walk to Nuns crooks is worth a half day walk.

My room was lovely, very comfortable and cosy. The breakfasts were great too so compliments to the chef. I’m sure i’ll be visiting Dartmoor again in the future and when I do, I will definitely be staying here again.

Dinner at the Two Bridges Hotel is really good. Quite an expensive dining out experience but if you feel like splashing out then that’s the place to go. Tavistock is also really good for cafes, but Church Lane specifically is incredible for pizzas.

We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. The entire place was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Our host was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection served in a bright and comfortable breakfast room overlooking Dartmoor and a beautiful log burner. Overall, a fantastic experience — highly recommended and we have already booked again!

Are stay was short, however we drove ten minutes to the Warren Inn. A pub with an open fire said to be burning since the 1800s. Food was great and very large portions. We had a walk around Princetown in the snow and took some photos of the most stunning views. Personally I love Princetown and its surroundings.

Unfortunately we had a poor experience at the Plume of feathers pub ref food service Host recommended the Prince (pub) who were really friendly and helpful. Plenty of of good walks and opportunities for cyclists 🚴‍♂️
