Lovely place to stay, ideal location especially for walking on the southern side of Dartmoor. I had a beautiful view from my room across the moors towards Two Bridges. Great breakfast and friendly and helpful hosts.

Lots of lovely walks, for example take the path to South Hessary Tor and on to Nun’s Cross, or go along the railway track which is flat but provides extensive views

My wife and I have stayed in quite a few b&b's over the last couple of years. Duchy House is the best in all respects.

Dinner at Prince of Wales. Very good. Unfortunately the prison museum was closed. Would have been interesting (and probably disturbing). We drove to a car park west of Merrivale and walked to Vixen Tor. Good. (Caroline, if a paper copy of the walk (walk 15) was available that would be very useful.

I had a really lovely stay, everyone was really friendly! The breakfast options were also fantastic especially as a vegan. I’ll definitely be back next time I want to stay in princetown
