As always it is the most wonderful place to come to. Always new items in the house and the care given is simply second to none.

Tips for other travellers

The cake shed at the bottom of the driveway- not to be missed. Eggs for sale along the road and sometimes at the little shop at Luskentyre. Both delicious.

We loved being within a 5 minute walk over the dunes to the beach. The Rosamol house itself was nicely set up, well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. Great view over the dunes and across the bay.

The Rosamol house is remote -- I don't think there was anything nearby [closest shop, restaurant, etc is a 20 min drive], but that is why we loved it -- it was quiet, the night dark, and the beach empty.

Rosamol is an absolute perfect place to say. Very homely and well equipped home from home. The beds are very comfy. A gorgeous view straight over the dunes to the bay. This is our second visit and would highly recommend staying here. We had come to do 2 weeks photography of Luskentyre bay and it proved perfect. Rachel is a fantastic host and extremely helpful.

Tips for other travellers

Harris/Lewis offers a lot of iconic places to visit but this time we stayed mainly in Luskentyre with the odd trip to the shops - they’re not near by. Sailed into Stornaway so did our big shop at Tesco - this saved us a 100 mile round trip if we’d sailed into Tarbert.
