The B&B is only a few mins walk from the centre of Pitlochry on a quiet street which is perfect. The house itself is very clean with a constant supply of pastries, tea and coffee in the communal area. You self check in and out which is very easy. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked - best scrambled eggs I have had. Only reason I scored facilities a 4 is because not all rooms are en-suite but we didn't find that an issue. Would thoroughly recommend Ardvane.

Tips for other travellers
We ate at The Auld Smiddy which was really nice (only stayed one night - wish it was longer) The Auld Smiddy, McKays and The Old Mill in the centre of town are all excellent for a drink, most have live music on at the weekends as well. There was nothing wrong with The Coach Inn, its just not as nice as the other places. We took the No.24 bus the short trip to The Moulin Inn which I would highly recommend. Didn't eat there but the food looked amazing and the place itself is gorgeous. Pitlochry is a very busy wee town so wherever you decide to eat, book well in advance (days not hours) or you will likely be disappointed.
