The Sandcastle

We had a fantastic week in The Sandcastle for a 50th birthday celebration. The house has an excellent layout with great facilities. We had loads of fun in the hot tub, pool & games room & the steam room is lovely & hot. Mike & Linda were lovely & always available if you needed to contact them. You couldn’t wish for a more beautifully located house. Upstairs living areas are slightly tired but it is a beach house after all so that is to be expected but everything was still nice & clean on arrival. We’d love to return for another stay at The Sandcastle.

Keep it up (not easy)! Light over the cooking area not working More tea towels would be nice.

The location is stunning and the pool/hot tub amazing. The house could be so beautiful but needs ‘tweeking’. Oven is poor with one ring not working. Whole place wasn’t really that clean and we had to clean a number of the kitchen items before using. Towels are a very poor quality and we never had the 3 per person. Large fridge really needs replacing as does the dishwasher (not properly fixed & lower basket is so hard to get in and out) and under cupboard fridge & freezer. Shrubs in garden and walk way to the beach need hacking back. We had a great week but to market this as a luxury place which it should be it needs some tender loving care. Mike (owner) communicated with us well.

We had a wonderful week, location is superb, facilities excellent. No steps at all on the ground floor, ideal for wheelchair and stroller.
