The cottage is in a beautiful location and is a wonderful place to stay. It has a well equipped kitchen, fabulously comfy beds and great shower and bathrooms. Jackie came to ensure we had everything we needed, once we'd arrived, which she did at a good distance. The place was ultra clean and we felt at ease in these times of covid-19

Tips for other travellers

Brancepeth is a pretty village just minutes walk down the road. The old railway trail is a very easy walk through pretty countryside too. Jackie showed us the walk up to the woods at the back of the farm, which we really enjoyed( 40 mins )-take the track to the left hand side of the chickens. From there we walked to Brandon which has a Sainsburys Local. Durham is a short drive away. The Cathedral was open but the Castle closed. Lovely Riverside walks.

Absolute luxury, First experience with an upside down house, only minus is the lack of a view from the upstairs living area, I think that's being picky, but really who would stay in when you're staying in such a beautiful area.

Tips for other travellers

We found the Blacksmith's Arms top notch, we never got round to sampling the Copper Mine, which was highly recommended. A bike/walking trail is very close to the property.
