Beautiful place to stay. Very peaceful and quiet. Lovely hosts, very welcoming. The accomodation was very clean and very comfortable. The facilties were great, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much. The food is very reasonable and very good. I loved the bolognaise and most of the menu is home made. The little bar to relax in is great and my husband and I enjoyed a game of pool and table tennis. Great fun.

Tips for other travellers

The only downside is out of the owners control. It's the many pot holes on the access lanes to Moorhead and lanes are narrow. All manageable though. Breakfast is generally available in school holidays and the bar and restaurant are closed on Sundays.

Welcoming friendly staff. Well equipped accommodation. We enjoyed the meals in the restaurant. A good base for visiting the surrounding area. It was lovely to use the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. We had a lovely, relaxing break and look forward to visiting next year.

Tips for other travellers

Hartland Quay Hotel, dog friendly and a nice place to visit and to eat. the Merry Harriers, dog friendly, good food and the best Cream teas! with a well stocked garden centre. Darlington glass was an interesting visit, as was Hartland Abbey.

This place is truly fantastic it’s a home away from home. This family run holiday haven is perfect. The apartments are spotless, the grounds and views are amazing. The food is outstanding, the bar has a fantastic atmosphere. There is something for everyone whatever the weather. The swimming pool is kept immaculate. This was our 4th year coming. Next year already booked as it is that good. Mandy,Tom,Tessa, Martin thank you for always making us feel like part of the family and giving us a slice of paradise each time we are there
