Bernadette was a great person to communicate with and was able to give us so much information about the area which was unfamiliar to us.

There are so many restaurants to go to in Dumfries and Bernadette will supply you with a list. She is a fountain of knowledge also on places to visit in the locality.

One of the best Bed and Breakfasts we have ever stayed in. Lovely building, super host, welcoming and a font of useful advice on local restaurants and attractions.

We dined at Home - first class but limited opening hours - pre-booking essential. Nearby Castle Douglas is a delightful little town with independent shops and an old fashioned high street - in a njce way. Threave Gardens (National Trust for Scotland) are also well worth a visit.
