The Garvault is a hidden gem and upon arrival you are greeted as a long lost friend. All of the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Pots of tea , coffee and cake are provided on request. The whole ambience is designed to relax and make you feel as if you are a house guest in their lovely home. The bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. It’s such a relaxing experience without televisions to crowd your time. The surroundings are stunning and the remoteness means that the skies are full of stars. Can’t wait for our next trip.

Best place for rewinding after busy times. Comfort and cosiness, nice homely interior. Lovely room with a good bed and a nice view over the hills. The friendliness of the staff deserves a prize. We enjoyed dinner together with the other guests. At night there was a faint glimmer of the Northern light.

This is a must stay property! Lovely warm welcome from the host - Adrian & Eva - which include a warming tray of tea when we arrive along with a yummy piece of homemade cake. Having dinner round the big table with our hosts and other guests was a sure delight. Conversation flowed in the convivial atmosphere. The property itself is exquisite. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and this added to the whole experience. We will be back.
