This was my second visit and I enjoyed it. Fresh food, friendly staff, great location and very unique property.

Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Ollie the chef is fantastic. The food was really tasty and plenty of it. Great recommendations for local walks and new whiskys to try! Rooms are clean and comfortable. This place is remote! There is no TV, however there is an extensive library and a drawing room with a real fire and board games, a piano and radio. There are Red deer roaming freely all around.

Tips for other travellers
There are no local restaurants. The hotel offers dinner and bed and breakfast and they give cake and tea if they catch you in, in the afternoon! There are plenty of walks from the house and some a short drive away. Three or four lochs within an hour or two walk. Keep an eye out for the grouse and birds of prey. There is also fishing. You can borrow wellies and walking sticks, maps and guides. An hour and a half drive away is Thurso and John'O Groats.

Amazing property set in beautiful surroundings. The dinner and breakfast provided by the host were excellent. We loved relaxing in the lounge with the fire going and tea/cake provided. It was also fun chatting with and playing card games with the staff.
