A lovely, comfortable, clean room. Fantastic views from our bedroom window. Breakfast was delicious, nothing was too much for our hosts. If we wanted anything, they were only too happy to help. Also, very friendly and sociable, stopping for a chat every morning

My main advice would be to skip driving and to make the most of the local buses. The bus stop only a short walk away

Braithwaite has 2 pubs and one hotel where you can eat - it can be very busy so booking in advance is needed. It's a beautiful location near fantastic hiking spots but away from the business.

Lovely walk into Keswick through Portinscale, takes about an hour but well worth it as plenty to see on the way. The Royal Oak and Coledale are both great pubs for food and just a few minutes away on foot. Winlatter Forest is a short drive away too with plenty to do for families. Some lovely walks from there with great views all around.
