My wife and I just finished a 13-day Scotland trip, and Skye Lodge was by far our favorite lodging during the Isle of Skye leg. The room was quiet and spacious, with a modern remodeled bathroom, heated towels, a comfortable bed, and a sitting area. The ocean and scenery views were breathtaking! What made it special was proprietor Claire's warm service. Personable and attentive, she cooked hot, made-to-order breakfasts daily, accommodating my wife's gluten allergy perfectly. The small lodge created a personal atmosphere for guests to share travel tips. Claire's travel advice truly enriched our Isle experience. Though not in central Portree, it's in a cute area near must-see Dunvegan Castle, with restaurants walkable. If we could, we'd have stayed the whole trip. Recommend to anyone visiting Skye! 5/5 stars.

Clare was amazing. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Home cooked breakfasts were delicious. View out the dining room window was stunning!
