Absolutely lovely! Our , Claire and Douglas, were wonderfully welcoming and made our visit even more delightful! The room was great, breakfast spoiled us. The experience couldn’t have been better, I hope we have a chance to visit again😊

Skye Lodge is perfection! The location, the comfortable guest rooms, the fabulous showers, the incredible breakfasts, the awe-inspiring sunsets over the water … all combined to make our visit simply wonderful! But the main reason we’ll be back is the personable hospitality of the owners, Claire and Douglas! Their warm welcome and easy conversation made us feel as if they were fast friends from the very first moment. Precious place and people!

Tips for other travellers

Be sure to turn on the switches on the outlets. I thought I charged my phone all night, but I had failed to hit the outlet switch. Rookie foreigner mistake.

Great views and location. Nothing was too much trouble for the host. Really felt like we were welcome in their home. Good to sit and chat, learn about the island and all it has to offer. Good choice for breakfast. Rooms clean and well furnished.

Tips for other travellers

The roads are a lot of single track so use passing points. Also watch out for potholes. There are good places to eat in the area.

Loved all about this stay. Start to finish. Claire and Douglas were such welcoming and warm. Breakfast was a treat and lost our hearts to Sabre (lovely dog with a whimper that melts your heart). Lovely view and close to eating places and road to castle. Room and facilities were very good and provided a great foundation for an enjoyable stay. Thanks Claire & Duggy!

Go there. Stay there. You won't be disappointed. Far from it and oh.... enjoy the haggis content of cooked breakfast.
