A spacious cottage in a good location. Very comfortable beds and bedding. We didn't find the heating system particularly user friendly - but that could just be us! The cottage is very well equipped, though a normal size refrigerator with a freezer compartment would have been lovely.

The local (community owned) pub - the Kings Head serves good food and tasty ales. A little further is the PB Inn, which has a more extensive menu. Also recommended is the Farmer's Arms in Muker. Jervaux Abbey, Thorpe Perrow and Mount Grace Abbey and Fountains Abbey are all worth a visit.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Not sure why heating would be needed in July... The fridge is a normal size, but, agreed, no freezer compartment. However, there is a table top freezer in the outhouse. So hopefully all points raised covered.

A lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean and cosy. Situated in the heart of amazing walking country. Excellent village pub, The King's Head, just a 2 minute walk. Our 2nd visit, and we'll be back.

Really enjoyed our meals at ‘The Kings Head’ in Gunnerside and ‘The Farmer’s Arms’ in Muker. Caffe Curva in Hawes serves excellent coffee and the cheese scones and tea cakes are very tasty.
