Absolutely fantastic cottage, beautifully kept. Thankyou do much. The downstairs loo is a bonus, and as someone with mobility issues, the stairs are not too onerous. A lovely feel about the cottage. Clean, tidy, with everything we needed, including a well equipped kitchen.Only downside of our week- we wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back!

Gunnerside is a village we know well, but this was the first time we'd been for a few years. After a couple of dud vegetarian meals in nearby pubs we travelled a little further to the Street End pub in Newbiggin over the hill in Wensleydale, and would heartily recommend it. New discoveries after decades of walking in Swaledale: there are a few things an average pavement mobility scooter can do as long as there's a gate next to the cattlegrid! Highly recommend the cottage and the location if you're after peace and quiet and some beautiful country

brilliant cottage in the heart of gunner side, everything we needed was in the cottage. beds were clean as was the bathroom and kitchen. parking was for one car by the side of the house, although car park is just a few mins away.the garden was a definite plus and would have been lovely if the weather had been a bit better. the views from the back of the house were fabulous.would highly recommend .

the kings arms pub, lovely atmosphere and the sunday dinners are fantastic (pre book) we had fish and chips from ramseys fish and chip van which visits on a friday and can honestly say that the fish was one of the best i have had for a long time. some amazing walks in the area starting from gunner side. Reeth is a 7 mile walk and plenty of pubs and tea rooms there to get something to eat. also there is the dales bus to save that walk back but double check the times as it only stops off a couple of times a day.

Farmendon was found to be a very comfortable and homely cottage, in a delightful friendly village, with a large number of lovely walks directly from the cottage door! The Kings Arms pub was only a short walk from the cottage and we found a warm welcome there with local residents happy to chat with us. The food was very good too!

There are several quaint villages to explore close by and the amazing 400 year old Kiplin Hall is well worth a visit!
