Lovely place for a highland getaway. Check-in process was seamless and the shepherd's hut itself is well equipped and cosy. Great views and surrounded by nature.

Tips for other travellers

Persie Distillery worth a visit. Bridge of Cally hotel has good food. The drive over to Pitlochry is nice. A plethora of nice walks in the area too

There are shops and places to eat which are around 20-25 minutes away, but if you're like us we just made the most of the stunning views and enjoyed kicking back and relaxing in a beautiful place.

Had a fabulous time in Silver Birch treehouse - loved every moment. Excellent facilities for self-catering, toasty and warm, and luxurious bathroom and hot-tub - perfect for relaxing under the stars with a glass of fizz, or winding down after a long hike. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack too :)

Tips for other travellers

Gloagburn Farm Shop is great. I stopped off here on the way to stock up on food goodies for my stay - they have a bountiful array of everything you need and a lovely cafe too. Also highly recommend a wander to Reekie Linn falls followed by food at Peel Farm's cafe (dog friendly) and some retail therapy in their delightfully curated gift shop. I also did the 9-mile Kindrogan Loop in Kirkmichael ... good if you want to stretch your legs and not see a soul!
