JoAnne is a very friendly and helpful host the facilities are really good everything I needed and more. Particularly taken with feeding the chucks got a nice video. Within a nice leisurely walk of a Pub for an evening meal out if you don't want to drive and the weather is fine.

Was provided with a leaflet of local walks and there are plenty more to photograph if you are so inclined. As the weather was very hot enjoyed a couple of trips up to the Tarn once there and back the same way. The second time a round trip. Both enjoyed the rural area of the place nice and quiet. Drove on the last day to a nice pub called The Crown Inn for Sunday afternoon.

Mosedale End Farm Bed and Breakfast provided an unforgettable countryside experience starting with a warm welcome from JoAnne. The room was exceptionally comfortable and well-kept, offering a peaceful retreat with crisp, fresh air that made every breath feel rejuvenating. One of the highlights of our stay was witnessing the birth of a lamb—a rare and heartwarming moment that brought us closer to farm life. Watching the farmer and his dog work together in perfect harmony added a special charm to the visit. It was a truly wonderful stay, and we look forward to returning.

Warm welcome, lovely accommodation, our little boy ( 18 months) loved feeding the chickens and seeing the sheep totter past everyday!

We climbed catbells and took our kayak out on derwent water. Parked at the theatre by the lake car park and there's a great side beach for launching.
